Home › Blog › Instantly vs PlusVibe (and Smartlead): Cold Email Platforms Compared From Our Campaigns
What we saw sending on Instantly and PlusVibe, aggregate stats from our own workspaces, current published prices, and how to move between them safely.

Short answer: We have run cold email campaigns on Instantly and on PlusVibe, and moved our sending to PlusVibe in September 2026. Both send, rotate inboxes, warm up and give you a shared reply inbox. The biggest practical difference for us was how each prices volume. Instantly's published plans cap contacts and emails per month; PlusVibe's entry plan allows far more emails for less. We have not used Smartlead, so it gets its public prices and nothing else.
I run a cold email agency. Everything below comes from our own two workspaces, in aggregate, with no client or lead named. Prices were read on each vendor's pricing page on 2 November 2026. I have no affiliate deal with any of these tools.
| Platform | Our source | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Instantly | First-hand: our main sending platform | August 2025 to September 2026, plus a read-only tail for old threads |
| PlusVibe | First-hand: our sending platform since the move | September 2026 onward |
| Smartlead | Public pricing page only | Never used |
These are aggregate figures from our own workspaces.
| Figure | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| People marked interested, Instantly | 1,543 people | Our Instantly workspace, 7 August 2025 to 24 July 2026 |
| Positive-reply events, Instantly | 2,333 (one client excluded) | Same workspace and window |
| Sequences moved to PlusVibe | 9 | Rebuilt over the API, September 2026 |
| Suppression list moved first | 5,312 unique addresses | All 26 Instantly campaigns |
| Mailboxes moved with signatures | 158 | September 2026 |
| Mailboxes warming in both tools at once | 0 | Checked by script before and after |
| Inboxes sending on PlusVibe | 179, on 70 domains | 16 October 2026 |
| Cold emails per inbox per day | 15 to 33, median 30 | Same day |
The interested label in Instantly was set mostly by its AI classifier, so a few are wrong both ways. The full method is in our positive reply benchmark.
| Platform | Published monthly price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Instantly (outreach) | Growth $47: 1,000 contacts, 5,000 emails. Hypergrowth $107: 25,000 contacts, 125,000 emails. Light Speed $358: 100,000 contacts, 500,000 emails. Enterprise custom. Unlimited email accounts and warm-up. | instantly.ai/pricing |
| PlusVibe | Personal $37: 25,000 emails, 30,000 active leads, basic warm-up. Business $77: 150,000 emails. Agency from $497: 500,000+ emails. Lower when paid yearly. 14-day trial. | plusvibe.ai/pricing |
| Smartlead | Base $39, Pro $94, Unlimited Smart $174, Unlimited Prime $379. Not used by us. | smartlead.ai/pricing |
At 30 emails a day per inbox, 179 inboxes can send over 100,000 emails a month. On the published lists, that is Instantly's Hypergrowth tier or above, against PlusVibe's Business tier. Neither price includes the inboxes and domains themselves, which you pay for separately with either tool.
Where it hurt: the plans meter contacts and emails, so cost climbs as volume grows. And a disconnected mailbox can keep warming up in the background unless someone turns it off.
Where to be careful: the advanced warm-up pool sits on the $77 Business plan, not the $37 one. And it is the younger product, so expect features to move.
There is no importer from Instantly to PlusVibe. This is the order that worked for us:
If you are setting up from scratch, the cold email capacity calculator works out inboxes and domains for a volume, and how many cold emails per inbox per day shows our settings.
For a new sender on a budget, PlusVibe's published prices go further. For a team that wants the most polished reporting and the larger community of guides, Instantly is the safer default, and its entry plan is enough for a single small campaign. We cannot judge Smartlead's sending because we have not used it. Look at its pricing page and run a trial before you commit. I am biased in one way: we sell meetings, not software, at $200–$500 per qualified meeting that takes place. If you hire an agency, the platform is their cost and their problem.
For our volume it is cheaper on published prices, and our warm-up and sending have been healthy on it. Instantly's reporting and AI reply labelling served us well for a year. Better depends on your volume and what you need to measure.
Yes, if you move suppression first, let mid-sequence leads finish where they are, and keep the old account for reply history.
You can connect the same mailboxes to both, but warm each one in only one tool and never send to one lead from both.
It is the third tool people ask us about. We have not used it, so we only list its public prices.
Before you commit to a platform, run one small campaign on its trial with a small list and your full suppression list loaded. If an agency sends for you, get three things in writing:
The clause-by-clause version of the first is what counts as a qualified meeting. Then run your numbers through the ROI calculator.
